Here’s the full About page HTML with the hero matched to the Framework page. I did not change any design, magic, animations, images, or copy beyond adding the Framework hero classes and their CSS so the animation/float-in behavior matches. ```html About | Bespoke Undertakings

Our Infrastructure

Building the Foundation for Concierge-Level Funeral Service

We don't advise. We build. Bespoke Undertakings creates the operational infrastructure that powers the next generation of funeral service brands, designed for families who expect transparency, accessibility, and excellence.

The Transformation

Rebuilding From the Foundation Up

Legacy Model

Traditional Model

Location-dependent operations built around casket sales, viewing rooms, and commission-based staff. Designed for an era when families made arrangements in person and burial was the default.

Our Infrastructure

Hub-and-spoke infrastructure, transparent pricing systems, and digital-first operations. Built for families who arrange services online, choose cremation, and value design that reflects how they actually live.

The Infrastructure Was Built
for a Different Century

Six decades of structural shifts reveal why the old foundation can't support what families need today.

1960–1980
Foundation Era

Local ownership, community trust, burial-centric model

1984–1996
Regulatory Shift

FTC Funeral Rule introduces transparency requirements

1997–2019
Mass Consolidation

Private equity roll-ups, pricing climbs, trust erodes

2020–2024
Market Inversion

Cremation becomes majority, digital arrangement standard

2025+
The Infrastructure Reset

We're not renovating the old model—we're building its replacement from scratch

Our Thesis

Concierge service in funeral care
isn't about marble lobbies.
It's about operational excellence.

While traditional funeral homes debate casket catalogs, 65% of families are choosing cremation through their phones. The infrastructure gap isn't cosmetic—it's structural. We build the operational systems that make concierge-level service scalable.

What We're Not

  • 🏢

We're not another funeral home chain

  • 💻

We're not selling software to broken systems

  • 📊

    We're not consultants with PowerPoints

  • 🗏

We're infrastructure builders creating enduring systems

Joseph Demerly Bell

Founder & Principal

Joseph Demerly Bell brings 25 years of operational expertise across every level of funeral service—from direct family care to corporate multi-site management. As a third-generation funeral director, he has built and scaled funeral operations from concept to profitability, managed complex P&Ls across multiple states, and developed regulatory compliance frameworks that withstand scrutiny.

His career spans corporate funeral home operations, independent venture development, and large-scale nonprofit leadership. This operational breadth—combined with licensure across multiple states—provides a practitioner's view of where infrastructure fails and how to rebuild it for scale. He identifies systemic inefficiencies before they become structural failures.

He founded Bespoke Undertakings because the funeral industry doesn't need better marketing—it needs better infrastructure. This isn't advisory work. It's the systematic construction of operational systems designed to endure for decades, not quarters.

Joseph Demerly Bell

"The industry mistakes renovation for innovation. We're not here to polish the existing model. We're here to build what replaces it."
