Founder & Principal
Joseph Demerly Bell brings 25 years of operational expertise across every level of funeral service—from direct family care to corporate multi-site management. As a third-generation funeral director, he has built and scaled funeral operations from concept to profitability, managed complex P&Ls across multiple states, and developed regulatory compliance frameworks that withstand scrutiny.
His career spans corporate funeral home operations, independent venture development, and large-scale nonprofit leadership. This operational breadth—combined with licensure across multiple states—provides a practitioner's view of where infrastructure fails and how to rebuild it for scale. He identifies systemic inefficiencies before they become structural failures.
He founded Bespoke Undertakings because the funeral industry doesn't need better marketing—it needs better infrastructure. This isn't advisory work. It's the systematic construction of operational systems designed to endure for decades, not quarters.
